PLATFORM ENHANCEMENTS
At Atheer, we are realizing our vision to continually enhance our platform and increase our connectivity capabilities, so we can seamlessly connect to the external systems that our customers use. We strive to be an effective and productive add-on that delivers a best-in-class front line worker experience.
We’re also increasing the flexibility and accessibility of our platform by making it easier than ever for your front line workers to to use the latest state-of-the-art devices to access the information they need and easily complete the work they need to accomplish.
Easily connect Atheer with your existing ecosystem
Introducing AIRSDK - REST APIs and Webhooks
Enhancing connectivity to our platform is a huge priority at Atheer, so we’ve created, and we’re now introducing, our new AIRSDK capability that will make connecting our platform to your external systems easy and convenient.
AiRSDK is a set of REST APIs that will avail the information within our platform to external systems. In this first release of AiRSDK, we are delivering APIs focused on Job, Content, and User information.
The new AIRSDK Data Export feature will allow you to easily pull Job, Content, and User data from our platform into your external systems such as ERP, MES, and BI platforms. You will now have access to this information at your fingertips for reporting and integration back into those external systems.
Our built-in AiRSDK API Reference page provides you with the documentation you need to easily connect to your external systems through our REST APIs. From there, your technical team can take advantage of the integration information, code samples, and tools they need to take full advantage of our AiRSDK capabilities. And, Atheer is ready to help with your configuration as well.
Our AiRSDK Webhooks allow you to extract the data that’s available from the rest APIs in near real-time. As soon as events happen in our system, we inform the external system of the results. For example, as soon as a job is completed in Atheer, a work order in an external system (Such as SAP or JD Edwards) can be instantly updated.
Customers can now see the results of events that are occurring in our platform in near real-time in their external systems keeping them instantaneously apprised.
Easily export Job data to your business intelligence tools
With the Frost release you can more easily export Atheer’s Job details to your business intelligence tools of choice (Power BI, Looker, etc.) for further analysis.
With this new data export capability, users have the ability to easily select the data they want to export, format it to meet their precise analysis and reporting requirements, and send to the right end point or person.
Improve front line communication and experience
Enhance your “Announcement” and “Did You Know” content with Deep Links
Having the information and tools you need at your fingertips is crucial when you’re on the front line performing critical tasks and procedures. To simplify and enhance your ability to communicate with your front line workers, and give them the information and tools they need, we’ve added deep link capability to the “Announcement” and “Did You Know” articles that enables you to provide links to Topics, Content, and Experts (Users) from within the platform.
Now, when you publish Announcements and Did You Knows, you can reference existing Topics, Content, and Users with a “Click here” link. This link makes it very easy for the front line workers to directly access content and experts involved with the highlighted feature or function from within these special articles.
Experience our improved accessibility of descriptions through "Text to Speech" and “Zoom-in” functionalities in the Atheer Lens app
Long text descriptions created in AiRForms can now be configured to be read aloud by our text-to-speech feature. Your front line workers can now listen to these descriptions with their hands free as they progress through their work instructions.
What’s more, we’ve added a text sizing tool that will allow your front line workers to make the text larger, so it can easily be read from a distance, through safety glasses, or even without reading glasses.
Take advantage of our support for RealWear Navigator™ 500
The RealWear Navigator™ 500 hands-free device has just been released and is gaining in popularity among our customers who use Atheer Lens on hands-free devices. Atheer now officially supports the use of the Atheer Lens app on the RealWear Navigator™ 500.
Our hands-free customers who upgrade to the RealWear Navigator™ 500 will now have full support for Atheer Lens.
Configure your workspace to meet your business needs
Utilize our support for plural labels in Label Dictionary to make your custom labels even more effective
Our Label Dictionary feature that allows you to customize the names of our platform features, is now even more effective. Now, any word that is entered into the Atheer Label Dictionary can now be supported as a singular word or a plural word. This helps greatly when using custom branded labels or other words specific to your company that are not necessarily made plural by simply adding an “s”. This also facilitates the proper use of foreign language translations of custom labels and helps them be more accurate.
Customize your page views with our new ability to configure default page size in Atheer Studio
When scrolling through Atheer Studio pages that are lists of items (i.e., AiRForms, Content, Users, etc.), you might have the need or preference to see longer lists per page. You can now configure the default list size for these pages in Atheer Studio. If you want the default list size to be 40 or 60, you can now configure that for your workspace default.
We strive to support the many different needs and expectations for our customers, and we’re happy to continuously improve our platform for all.
Utilize our new ability to configure placement of toast notifications in Atheer Studio
By default, toast notifications pop-up in the top, right corner of the app. To improve the flexibility of the platform, we’ve added a setting that will allow you to configure which of the four corners of the app the pop-ups will appear.
SELF-ASSIST ENHANCEMENTS
Front line workers deserve to have the contextual information they need at their fingertips in order to do their best work. Atheer endeavors to make this easy, whether it is giving them quick access to the instruction manual for something they’re working on, or the inspection procedures for a machine or asset they happen to be in front of.
That’s why we’ve enhanced the functionality of our content administration to include a much easier-to-navigate interface
Enable your front line end-users and Content admins to explore, scan and interact with content, workflows through simpler experience
Expand and improve your Content Organization with enhanced support for hierarchical Topic navigation
We’ve added the visibility of an additional level of subtopics in Atheer Lens. This new Content hierarchy improves content discoverability as users to view up to four layers of content (topic -> subtopic -> subtopic -> content item)
As a result users will have a better organized and more efficient presentation of Content within Atheer Lens that will help them more easily explore and find the content that they’re looking for.
Introducing Content filtering by Topics in Atheer Studio - Makes finding the information you need even easier
We’ve added the visibility of an additional level of subtopics in Atheer Lens. This new Content hierarchy enables users to view up to four layers of content (topic -> subtopic -> subtopic -> content item).
Whether you’re an author writing Content or an Atheer Studio user reviewing content to find important information, you will definitely appreciate this new capability that will allow you to easily find or browse for your Content in this new logical, structured, and click-through user interface.
Improve access to critical information with our new support for sorting and filtering in Atheer Lens Explore
Atheer Lens now offers a new sorting and filtering capability in the Explore tool. Users can now sort and filter topics, content, and people
Users now have more control over how they choose to explore and view Topics, Content, and People, electing to view items in the lists that are relevant to them.
Allow users to access My Library in Atheer Studio
In our continued effort to optimize Atheer Studio with all the features and functions available in Atheer Lens, we’ve added Atheer Studio access to the My Library feature.
Users can go to My Profile in Atheer Studio and access all of the My Library Content that they see in Atheer Lens.
Empower Front line experts to capture knowledge with modern tools
Introducing Advanced Content (Photo and Video) editing
With the Frost Release, we are introducing a brand new, modern set of advanced photo and video editing tools in Atheer Lens-Android. Captured photos and videos can now be enriched with contextual enhancements such as text, stickers, and overlays.
Now, captured photos and videos can be made much more information rich, useful, and reusable on the fly and at the scene without the need of exporting them into a photo editor. These advanced editing tools include cropping, adding notations on images, etc.
And what’s more, now you can import photos from the device's photo gallery as well. Once imported, the same advanced editing tools are available.
REMOTE-ASSIST ENHANCEMENTS
Sometimes front line team members need more help than they can get from self-assistance. The enhancements we’ve made to our Remote-Assist capabilities in this release provide quicker and easier access to the tools your front line workers need and the experts who can help them.
Improve efficiency of Front line experts with modern tools in remote-assistance
Introducing Remote Zoom capabilities in AiRSessions
Up to now, zooming in on AiRSession video streams has been on an individual basis. Using the existing Private Zoom feature, each user in an AiRSession has the ability to individually zoom in and out on the feed being presented without impacting the viewing of others in the session.
With the new Remote Zoom feature, the person presenting the video stream can zoom in and out of their own video feed, and everyone on the call will be able to see and follow along with that zooming behavior. This is a great opportunity for an expert or an instructor to zoom in and focus the attention of everyone in the session on what’s being discussed.
Once the Remote Zoom feature is enabled, users will have the option to click on the Private Zoom button and disable Private Zoom-enabling Remote Zoom. When they do this, they will not be able to privately zoom in on another user's feed, and if they zoom in or out of their own feed, all other users will see that change instantly.
Allow users to invite guest users in AiRSession through device contact address book
Atheer Lens now has the capability to directly access a device’s contact address book when inviting guest users. When inviting guest users to an AiRSession, an address book button is shown from which any existing contact can be easily invited to the AiRSession as a guest user.
Users will no longer need to switch between apps, or copy and paste information, to get contact details when inviting guest users to AiRSessions.
WORK ASSIST ENHANCEMENTS
Atheer supports front line workers through their jobs with our Work Assist capabilities. Atheer is a low code/ no-code platform, meaning it allows implementation teams with low or no coding ability to model and digitize all kinds of business processes.
The Frost Release of Atheer continues to improve upon the Work Assist features - including adding functionality to the Job Template attributes, data export features that allow for the easy exporting of data off the system for analysis.
Put your digitized workflows on Auto-pilot
Easily automate Jobs with our new Job scheduler
If you have Jobs that need to be run on a regular basis, you no longer need to go in and manually create them. With the Job automation feature in the Frost release, your life just got much easier.
Existing Jobs can now be scheduled to run automatically on an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly frequency. This means that all you have to do is create a scheduled Job one time, and from then on, the system will automatically generate new Jobs per that schedule. Also, Job due dates can be added automatically on a “Creation Date” + number of days basis.
Simply create a recurring schedule, and then add Job details to that schedule (Job details can include AiRForm and Job attribute values). Then, the system will automatically create Jobs based on that schedule.
Jobs that occur on a regular basis can now be automated and created on a schedule, so Job administrators don’t have to go in and create the same recurring Job over and over again.
Easily build and deploy advanced workflows to meet your business needs
Take advantage of the new ability to execute Job steps in any order
Up to this moment, Jobs executed in Atheer (via AiRForms) had to follow a predefined path or order of work steps. This could be limiting in many situations.
With the Frost Release this all changes!
Now, when executing a Job with an AiRForm configured as “Open”, the user can complete the steps in any order - they can choose to skip certain steps or sections and come back to them later. This is commonly referred to as non sequential job completion.
Not all Jobs are restrictive in that the steps need to be completed in a pre-defined order. This new feature gives more flexibility to the front line workers to complete the steps in the order that makes most sense for the task at hand.
Execution Configuration: Open / Sequential Execution Mode
Depending on the nature of the work, certain procedures must be completed in a set order, while others can afford flexibility in sequence of execution. We support the digitization of both types of processes with this feature.
For AiRForms marked as “Sequential”, during Job execution the system will enforce the order of steps for completion-the previous step will have to be marked as complete before proceeding to the next step.
For AiRForms marked as “Open”, during Job execution the user can execute the Job steps in any order-they can choose to skip certain steps and come back to them later.
Not all customers have the same Job execution requirements for every AiRForm use case. Now, AiRForm execution is even more flexible, allowing our customers to choose the modality and features that work best for them.
Execution Configuration: Advanced configuration for Job completion (permission-based Job Completion)
For AiRForms where “Permission-based Job Completion” is activated - only users with the permission to “Complete Job” will be able to mark the Job as Complete. Other users will not be able mark a Job as complete even if all steps have been completed.
In scenarios where you need to limit Job completion to only certain individuals, you can enhance quality control, by having Job Completers review all of the steps that were executed by the person who executed the Job, and then mark the Job as complete.
Execution Configuration: Advanced configuration for Job completion (user-driven completion mode)
For certain kinds of work, it is possible that after a certain number of steps the user does not need to go ahead with the rest of the Job (i.e.: a troubleshooting guide). Once the purpose of the Job has been met, the user can mark it as Complete, as the rest of the steps would no longer be needed.
Allowing the user who is executing a Job to decide when the Job is completed can expedite the execution of Jobs, allow for AiRForms/Jobs to be more effectively used in new and innovative ways, and increase job satisfaction of your trusted and experienced front line workers.
Execution Configuration: Ability to mark steps as not applicable (NA)
In the Frost release, we’ve given AiRForm authors even more flexibility in how they design and create their AiRForms by giving them the ability to allow their front line workers to mark certain AiRForm steps as not applicable (NA) to the Job. For AiRForms where “Allow marking steps as NA” is enabled, the front line worker who is executing the Job can choose to mark certain steps as NA during Job execution . Once a step is marked as NA, even if the step has one or more mandatory responses within it, that step will be treated as if it is Complete.
This flexibility allows for the AiRForm authors to create fewer AiRForms that can cover more scenarios. Users can simply mark irrelevant steps as NA and then continue to the next applicable step.
Place Content attachments within an AiRForm steps with our new support for step level attachments
In the Frost release, we’ve expanded the AiRForm features even further by enabling authors to add up to five pieces of existing Atheer Content as attachments directly to a step as part of the step header.
Some Content is very specific to certain steps within the process. This feature enables AiRForm authors to add step specific attachments directly to such steps.
This removes the need to add all attachments at the top of the AiRForm and enables administrators to provide contextual information at the step level. End users no longer need to navigate to the attachments sections of an AiRForm during a Job. The content can be made available in the step itself.
Utilize our new ability to attach Content in photo headers in AiRForms
To make it even easier and more efficient for AiRForm authors to attach photos to AiRForm headers, they can now choose between photos that are on their computer hard drive or photos that are already loaded as Content on the Workspace. Image files which are already added in Content can be used in Photo headers in AiRForm steps. This is similar to existing functionality for video headers.
Customers can now load up approved and branded photos to be used in the authoring of AiRForms. Images captured in Lens App and made available in the Content library can be used as reference in AiRForm, and any image files which are added by Content Managers can now be directly referenced as Image Headers in the AiRForm steps. This new feature removes the need for download and upload of photo files during authoring. This makes for a consistent and properly branded group of photos throughout the AiRForm experience.
Enhance your AiRForm authoring capabilities with our new ability to add/reorder/delete step headers during AiRForm authoring
With the Frost release, AiRForm authoring is now much more flexible when it comes to creating, modifying, and deleting step headers. By activating the “Allow step header changes during authoring” feature, a wide variety of header controls become available that will allow authors to present the exact step they need.
AiRForm Author now has the flexibility to add and remove headers as required directly during authoring - without dependency on the Step Templates. They can add new headers, modify existing headers, and even delete existing headers for which they have no need.
Experience our new “Select All” feature when selecting audiences for an AiRForm
AiRForm Authors now have a “Select All” feature when they are selecting Audiences for their AiRForms. When checked, all of the Audiences shown on the page are selected. They can then go from page to page to select the Audiences they want to choose (individually or by page).
AiRForm authors can save time and frustration by being able to use the select all checkbox to select all of the audiences rather than clicking on each audience listed on the page.
Experience our new enhanced condition evaluation support for scan responses
Scan response now supports a wider set of condition evaluation operators that can be used when defining a Deviation or Branch path condition.
* Comparison operators ( equals, not equals, >, >=, <, <= ) are data type sensitive
Enhanced capability to identify failures or deviations and carry out preventive actions.
Make Job changes much more easily with bulk actions in Studio Job Board
To make it much easier for Job administrators to manage Jobs on the Atheer Studio Job Board, the Frost release now supports bulk actions on selected Jobs. When multiple Jobs are selected, the actions that are common to all of the selected Jobs can be modified simultaneously.
Supported actions: Assign Job to Self, Download Job PDF*, Abort Job.
Now it's completely simple to make mass changes to the Jobs on the Job Board without having to select and modify each Job individually.
*Download Job PDF will create a single archive file with PDF reports for the selected job(s)..
Keep key stakeholders up-to-date with highly contextual, personalized notifications
Create ad hoc Smart Alert notification templates on the fly while authoring AiRForms
The AiRForm Smart Alert notification response authoring has been massively improved in the Frost release!
While authoring Smart Alert notification responses, you now have the ability to create notification templates on the fly. If you forgot to create your notification template ahead of time, or if you have a one-off notification template that is just relevant to the notification response you’re working on, you no longer need to exit the step, go create a notification template, and then go back to the step. Simply click on the Custom button and type in your notification subject and message. This new notification step feature adds a lot more flexibility and functionality to the AiRForm authoring process.
Of course, you can still select from a list of predefined notification templates as you’re authoring AiRForms, but now you have this additional feature where you can create notification templates on the fly as you’re authoring your notification response.
Take advantage of our new support for Job attribute values in Smart Alert notification responses
We’ve expanded the capabilities of Smart Alert notifications even more. Now that you can create ad hoc notification responses specific to the AiRForm you are authoring, you can also add keywords that can pull important and relevant Job attributes from the system to build information-rich Smart Alerts. These keywords pull information such as status, team, due date, started on, closed on, and much more.
When Smart Alert responses are triggered, they can now have specific and relevant system information in them that will help the person who receives them understand the issue and know what to do to respond to it.
To access the keywords list in the notification template message field, simply type the "@" symbol, and a list of Job and Response keywords will appear.
FURTHER UPDATES AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
In addition to the above, there are other updates and fixes in the Frost release that improve performance and the user experience throughout the platform.
Please feel free to reach out to our customer success team for additional information (support@atheerair.com).
